1994 – 2 – Cairo

This was the first World Cup organized by the UMB / CEB, in the first year of a decade-long conflict with the BWA. Even though the UMB / CEB World Cups between 1994 and 2003 had excellent players, the general public viewed the BWA as the professional and the UMB / CEB as the amateur circuit. The best players in the world (Blomdahl, Ceulemans, Jaspers, Zanetti and others) remained loyal to the BWA.
